Thank You Thank You Thank You

That was a hot one. A very hot one. The Vic nearly melted, as we all did, not only due to the sticky weather but every band came out and rocked out as hard as they could. I can ensure the quality is amazing, but even The Savs cannot control the sunshine.

I heard laughter, I presided in my first wedding ceremony (good luck to Cat Man and Lewis) I heard my poem put to music by the wonderful Carrianne.

We had the last Ashen Reach show with this line up, but above all we created a safe environment where people could be open about their feelings, we gave the Ian Savill Memorial Trophy to Kev Baker for his contribution to breaking down the stigma of mental health.

We had a cheque for over £3.2k presented to us by next years headliners The Soul Revival, we introduced the partner charity we will be supporting until August 2026 www.caninepartners.org.uk

From Wendy and I can we say a massive thank you to everyone who played their heart out, all who bought tickets, merch, entered the raffles and simply added to the buckets.

To Pete K Mally (spelt right) for his MC skills, drive and love for the charity, to our annual sponsors and special friends FCL Logistics , Blackstar Amps , Go Audio Visual we are very lucky and to Merch Lady Lou a real gem.

From me alone, can I say that this year has been hard for Wendy and I.

Very real health worries, mine have subsided but Wendy continues to amaze with her drive and determination not to allow such a debilitating disease such as Fibromyalgia, disc protrusions, spondylosis of the spine and other issues control her.

Without her I wouldn't be here, and without her, there would not be a Savfest 2026. I am so blessed to have this smiley woman by my side.

Here's to 2026 please take care, talk to each other and listen out for those in crisis. Kindness costs nothing.

See you soon, oh and SavFest is going out on the road to some bigger cities so band who have not been selected to play so far you might be asked to play the regionals.
